Stand by for some rip roaring laughter – Ipswich Sports Club presents their first sell out comedy night of 2020….
ISC’s two Division 1 teams (A and B) are once-again contenders for the Suffolk Squash Winter League title. After a shaky start to the season they’ve picked up performances – and points – which ultimately keep both teams in the hunt for the championship win. ISC A currently sit 3rd on 60 points (4 points off 2nd place), and Team B are 4th on 57 points. With a number of matches still to be played, including the all-important all-Ipswich, A v B fixture, there’s plenty to play for in the second half of the season.
Division 1 match nights are on a Thursday from 7:30pm. Spectators are always welcome.
Names of players are:
1st Team (L to R)
Stu Lipscombe (c)
(Missing: Matt Bolt and Conor Adams)
Very busy day here at Ipswich Sports Club. Car park hedgerows cut back, indoor tennis lighting works and squash court 4 works in progress. Importance of facility maintenance cannot be underestimated….
Meet Mag’s our popular studio instructor…
I’ve been teaching group exercise since my student days back in the dark ages! and still thoroughly enjoy the social side of the class environment.
To be able to achieve the goals of getting fitter, stronger and more supple while meeting people and making friends is a great motivator for all of us – coaches and participants alike.
I started out as a freestyle coach but now teach mainly Les Mills programmes including BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyBalance and CXWorx as I like the ongoing education and standards it has introduced to the industry.
I enjoy all the programmes and love the variety, but Combat is probably my favourite stressbuster; after a bad day in the office it’s better I hit some fresh air than anyone or anything else. I live in Ipswich with my family and have a ‘day job’ in the world of shipping.
Great evening with 125 attending this popular food night. Huge thanks to Piper, Euan Chalmers and master of ceremony Alec Livingstone…
