Ipswich Sports Club’s Tennis Academy Received National Recognition for its U10 Player Performance Programme

Ipswich Sports Club is delighted to announce that our Tennis Academy has received Under 10 performance status and recognition from the LTA as part of the LTA Player Pathway Performance system. As one of only 62 clubs in the country to have been awarded this promising status, we now hope that it will inspire many more children across Suffolk to take up tennis.

Our prestigious 10U programme is designed for children aged 6 to10 who are developing a love of tennis with aspirations to compete at a regional and national level. Our team of highly qualified, dedicated coaches have a track record in developing some of the best players in Suffolk aged under 10. The Performance Programme promises to nurture children who show promise at tennis by enabling them to undertake a regular training programme in a welcoming, fun, competitive and inspiring training environment.

The 10U Performance Programmes have been recognised by the LTA and County Associations as operators that are able to offer high-quality training environments.

Many players who have partaken in our LTA Player Pathway system have gone on to compete at a nationally competitive level.

These programmes provide the children at our club with access to a high level of support, facilitated by one of the LTA’s 10U National Pathway Coaches. Along with the LTA, it is our hope that being a part of this network, which comprises only 62 tennis clubs in the UK, will play a pivotal role in the early-stage development of aspiring performance players across Suffolk and ultimately, the success of British tennis in the long term.
