Disability Inclusive Sports

As well as providing a coaching program for British number 3 Quad wheelchair player, Richard Green, the club currently works in partnership with Suffolk LTA to supply coaching for Thomas Wolsey School on a weekly basis and has delivered a program for the Raedwald Trust.

In addition we have partnered with the charity, Sportability to deliver regular wheelchair tennis taster sessions and in the past year have delivered an open day for players with a Learning disability partnership with Special Olympics Suffolk, Active Lives and Wotsup charities.

I have had training at Ipswich Sports Club for over 6 years. In this time I have achieved a career high of number 14 in the world for singles and number 10 for doubles in the ITF Quad Wheelchair world rankings. I currently train for 4  hours a week with Chris Daynes and hit regularly with Harry Wilson. Everyone at the club has always been very supportive of my tennis journey and shown a big interest in my training and competitions. The staff are always friendly and supportive and I really enjoy coming to the club for my training.
