ISC entered 2 ladies’ and 2 Men’s teams into the Ipswich & District Winter Tennis League.
Ladies 1 had a perfect combination of experience and youth, winning an impressive 13 out of 14 matches and becoming Champions of Division 1.

‘’Well, what a long and wet season that was! Thank you to ISC, particularly the Tennis Committee, for supporting us with court allocations and balls as we navigated the weather and played our way through 14 matches.
Well done, Jess Terry – your young legs supported me through the season! Plus, a thank you to the other players who contributed – Maddy Koehler-Sidki, MC Tweedy and Louise Woods. Thank you, team, you made my organising easy.’’
Ladies 2 battled hard but struggled against tough competition in Division 1, so they will move down to Division 2 next year.
Men’s 1 won a healthy 7 out of 12 matches, placing them in a worthy 3rd place in Division 1. Men’s 2 had a cracking season and were unbeaten in division 3, gaining promotion – great work chaps!
Thank you and well done to all players representing ISC through the rain and cold! Floodlit matches are now coming to an end, and we’re looking forward to the summer league and some sunshine.
